ROLE PURPOSE: The Project Officer – FSL Focus and Child Resilience will be responsible for the effective implementation and monitoring of integrated activities in the areas of Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Child Resilience (Anticipatory Actions). The role will support field-level implementation of MPCA, Cash for Protection, and Income-Generating Activities (IGAs), while ensuring child protection and Child Resilience interventions are integrated and aligned with best practices. The Project Officer will also provide technical support and capacity building to implementing partners to ensure quality delivery.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
• Lead field-level implementation of FSL (MPCA, Cash for Protection, and IGA) and child resilience activities in close coordination with implementing partners.
• Facilitate the implementation of structured activities focused on child resilience and anticipatory actions within the communities.
• Ensure protection principles are mainstreamed into all, Cash for protection, MPCA and IGA interventions.
• Lead participatory mapping exercises to identify local hazards and assess community vulnerabilities.
• Establish a good working relation with authorities in communities and maintain regular, effective and meaningful contact with children and families,
• Collaborate with communities to predict hazards and establish priorities for anticipatory actions based on mapping results
• Design and implement a community-based early warning system (EWS) that is inclusive, effective, and responsive to local hazard predictions.
• Facilitate identification and referral of vulnerable children to specialized child protection services.
• Monitor project activities to ensure timely implementation, high quality, and compliance with donor and organizational standards.
• Collect and manage data for tracking progress against indicators, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
• Prepare and submit timely field reports, activity reports, success stories, and lessons learned.
• Participate in assessments, baseline/endline surveys, and midline evaluations.
• Provide technical support and on-the-job coaching and supervision to CP team in SCI and implementing partners to strengthen the quality of child protection, child resilience, and FSL activities.
• Facilitate capacity-building sessions and trainings for partner staff and community-based structures (CBCPAN and Children Group).
• Support community mobilization, awareness raising, and sensitization on child rights, protection risks, and resilience strategies.
• Build the capacity of target beneficiaries on business development, IGA planning, and life skills.
• Maintain effective coordination with local stakeholders, including government authorities, community leaders, and NGOs.
• Mapping and regular update of the existing services and awareness raising on existing services among targeted communities.
• Participate in relevant field-level coordination meetings and technical working groups.
• Conduct induction meetings with families, teachers, community, and other stakeholders to establish children group.
• Ensure consistent communication and coordination between the partner and project team to address challenges and improve performance.
• Provide technical supervision and support of field staff and (relevant partners) staff through regular contact, field visits or meetings.
• Providing capacity building trainings and sessions for communities on Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting, Neglect, Exploitation, Violence and Abuse,
• Maintain and effective filing system for storing project documentation in accordance with standard procedures.
• Attend relevant inter-agency coordination meetings, workshops and conferences as required
• Any other tasks relate to FSL, Child Resilience, and child protection programs given by line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, agriculture, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project implementation in one or more of the following sectors: FSL, child protection, community resilience, or humanitarian response.
• Proven experience in working with implementing partners and providing technical support.
• Computer Knowledge.
• Strong understanding of child protection principles, PSS, and community-based protection.
• Well communicate in local languages and knowledge of English language is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in MPCA, livelihoods programming, and income-generating activities.
• Excellent facilitation, training, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in field settings and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Being able to empower caregivers to support children.
• Being able to travel within the province and outside the province.
